37.5mm Safe-R SR/TB Thermal Liner Xtratherm Insulated Plasterboard is a combination of 25mm premium phenolic insulation core with a composite foil facing bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard for dry lining internal walls.
Safe-R Xtratherm SR/TB Thermal Liner is a high-efficiency thermal insulation with a certified thermal conductivity (lambda value) as low as 0.020W/mK.
SR/TB is an easy to install and decorate 3 in 1 solution which provides high-levels of insulation, dry-lining and vapour control layer in one 2400mm x 1200mm x 37.5mm insulated plasterboard.
Xtratherm Safe-R SR/TB is suitable for new build and refurbishment projects to save money by reducing the heat loss from buildings.
The composite facings on both sides of the SR/TB thermal liner board incorporate an integral vapour barrier, which helps to reduce the risk of condensation.
Safe-R SR/TB Xtratherm Thermal Laminate should be fixed with adhesive direct bonding 'dot and dab' technique.
Xtratherm products are stable, rot proof and will remain effective for the life span of the building (depending on specification and installation).
Care should be taken to avoid contact with acids, petrol, alkalis and mineral oil, when contact is made, clean materials in a safe manner before installation.
Please ensure tight fitting of the insulation boards to achieve continuity of insulation as asked for within the ACDs.
The insulation boards can be readily cut using a sharp knife or fine toothed saw.
When it comes to health and safety, Xtratherm boards are chemically inert and safe to use.

· Standard size 2400mm x 1200mm (8 x 4) boards.
· Superior performance phenolic insulation core.
· Insulation, drylining and vapour barrier in one board.
· Easy to handle and install.
Integral vapour control layer:
· The composite glass tissue facing on SR/TB provides a gas and vapour tight barrier, reducing the condensation risk.
· A continuous vapour control layer is created when the Xtratherm Safe-R SR/TB joints are sealed and taped in accordance with drylining good practice.
Fire Stops:
· An important factor when drylining a wall is to provide fire stops along the top and bottom of each board and around all openings (doors, windows, etc).
· These are provided by the continuous ribbons of adhesive and prevent fire penetrating behind the insulation layer.
· These continuous ribbons of adhesive also help to prevent thermal looping, leading to an overall improved U-Value for the wall element.
Handling, Cutting and Storage:
· Xtratherm insulation should be stored off the ground, on a clean flat surface and must be stored under cover.
· The polythene wrapping is not considered adequate protection for outside exposure.
· Care should be taken to protect the insulation in storage and during the build process.
· Appropriate PPE should be worn when handling insulation.
Certification:
· BBA Certification No.10/4803.
· BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
· BS EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
· Standard - BS EN 13166.

We can help to calculate price per m2 or linear meter (one meter in length) cost, please just contact us via phone 02081910776, email or live chat. Alternatively, you can work it out yourself quickly and easily: to get cost per meter square please divide price shown in orange area by ''Required area (m2)'' Example price of £28.80 divided by board coverage 2.88m2 = cost of £10.00 per m2.
INSTALLERS
No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.
4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER
1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio
It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.
2. Reviews
Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.
3. Compare prices
Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.
4. Word of Mouth
The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.
Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
