Roofing insulation fixings are designed to anchor down tissue faced insulation for use on warm Deck roof. They offer a quick and reliable fixing method for energy efficient warm roof construction. These twisted nails rotate as they are hammered into corkscrew through insulating boards and secure them to rafters without compressing the layer of insulation. The self-tapping helix has a unique ability to carry compressive loads as well as resisting tensile forces and bending moments.
Commonly referred to as chemical anchors or resin anchors they can be split into two main groups: capsule systems and injections systems. Both systems consist of two chambers, one filled with a polymer resin and the other with a hardener. Various resin types are available in each system from Polyester to Vinylester and Epoxy. Bonded Anchors are used for fixing threaded rod, internally threaded sockets and rebar to many types of structure.
Fasteners can be divided into 3 main groups: wood, drywall and self drilling screws. Wood screws are suitable for a variety of jobs.
