RENDER BOARDS ACCESSORIES

Regardless of render board brand, render board systems should be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and equipped with the right components. Those materials create a group of products commonly known as render board accessories. Those components should include:
 

• 3mm distance spacers,
• Rust proof screws, 
• Jointing mesh,
  
• Joint Filler,
• Board primer,
• Reinforcing mesh, 
• Base coat,
• Thin coat render. 
   

3-5mm DISTANCE SPACERS

3mm Spacers are plastic distance holders that are placed around the edge of the board for spacing render boards. Each edge of the board should have at least 2 spacers.

RENDER JOINTING TAPE

Render jointing tape is a 100mm wide glass fibre tape with an alkaline resistant coating that is embedded into render board joint filler.

RUST PROOF OR STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS 

Render board screws are corrosion-protected screws for fixing Render Board to timber substructures. They have a needle point and countersunk heads.

RENDER BOARD PRIMER

Render board primer is a synthetic emulsion for priming render boards that offers a high level of adhesion for tiles and plaster. It minimises air bubbles coming through from the render board subsurfaces. It can be applied with a lambswool roller or brush.

JOINT FILLER

Joint filler is a cement-bond filling material for full-surface skim coating of joints by hand, for use with external render boards. The joints are reinforced with joint filler and render jointing tape.

EXTERIOR RENDER BASE COAT

Exterior render base coat is used for base coating of external render boards when finishing with a thin layer of decorative render or paint.

RENDER BOARD REINFORCING MESH

Render board reinforcing mesh is a 1m wide glass fabric mesh designed to resist sliding and reinforce exterior base coat and joint filler.

THIN COAT RENDER

Thin coat render is an especially formulated colored trough ‘one-coat’ product that provides a decorative and protective finish to render boards.
