Superglass Insulation was founded in 1987 and is still manufacturing in Stirling up in Scotland. In 2005, Superglass became the UK’s biggest independent manufacturer of glass mineral wool insulation products. Two years later the business joined the London Stock Exchange. In 2017, Superglass became part of the TN International group of companies, a global leader in the manufacture of building materials. Superglass have been nominated as the Best Insulation Manufacturer at the BMJ Awards2020.

SUPERGLASS® INSULATION INSIDE

Superglass insulation is nothing but Glass Mineral Wool designed to improve the thermal conductivity and acoustic quality of your home or work environment. It is non-combustible insulation with the best possible Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification. The Rolls are odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould, or bacteria. Superglass rolls are extremely durable and when installed correctly, they will have a life span that lasts for as long as the building does. Superglass insulation contains no ozone-depleting substances or greenhouse gases. This product is manufactured from up to 84% recycled glass and provides excellent sound absorption performance and reduces sounds travelling throughout the residential or commercial building, creating a more relaxed environment.

Superglass Superwhite 42 Loft Blown Wool

Superglass Superwhite 42 is a glass mineral wool blown loft insulation with a water repellent additive to enhance its resistance to moisture. Superglass Superwhite 42 is designed specifically to provide thermal insulation in new or existing loft/cold roof spaces of up to 500mm. Blowing the insulation can be a better solution particularly in hard to treat lofts, where conventional rolls can’t be easily installed.

Superglass Contract Mat 44

Superglass Contract Mat 44 is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible roll is cut at 2 x 570mm to allow easy installation between common stud spacings and minimum on site cutting and waste.

Application

Superglass Contract Mat 44 is mainly used to provide thermal and acoustic insulation in lofts/cold roofs. However, it can be used in a number of other applications where a lightweight glass mineral wool product is required.

Superglass Timber And Rafter Roll 35

Superglass Timber & Rafter Roll 35 is a high performance, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible rolls are cut at 2 x 570mm widths to allow easy installation between common stud spacings and minimum on-site cutting and waste. 

Application

Superglass Timber & Rafter Roll 35 is designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation for timber frame roofs, walls and floors. The rolls are self-supporting by friction fitting between timber studs.

Superglass Superwhite 34 Blown Insulation – Party Walls

Superglass Superwhite 34 is a high performance and non-combustible glass mineral wool blown insulation for use as a full fill solution in new build masonry party/separating walls. Designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation and help provide a zero u-value within new build masonry party or separating walls as described in related building regulations.

Application

Superglass Superwhite 34 may also be used as a component in a number of Robust Details Solutions including new proprietary system E-WM-33. The product can also be used as a full fill solution for external masonry cavity walls.

Superglass Superwhite 40 Blown Cavity Wall Insulation

Superglass Superwhite 40 is a high performance, non-combustible glass mineral wool blown cavity wall insulation. The product is British Board of Agrément (BBA) certified and Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA) approved.

Application

Superglass Superwhite 40 is designed specifically to provide thermal insulation for new and existing masonry cavity walls with a minimum cavity width of 50mm and up to 12m in height. It may be installed in buildings of 12–25m in height subject to a satisfactory inspection of the wall construction and installation approval by Superglass Insulation.

Superglass Multi Purpose Acoustic Slab

Superglass Multi Purpose Acoustic Slab is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation slab. The slab supplied is 600mm wide to allow easy installation between common stud spacings and minimum on site cutting and waste. Superglass Multi Purpose Acoustic Slab provides excellent sound absorption performance in accordance with Approved Document E (England & Wales) and Technical Handbook Section 5 (Scotland) acoustic requirements.

Application

Superglass Acoustic Partition Roll (APR) is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible roll is supplied at 1200mm and 2 x 600mm widths to allow easy installation between common stud/joist spacings and minimum on-site cutting and waste.

Superglass Cladding Mat 35 is a resilient, high performance and non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll with excellent durability and high tear strength. The roll is supplied 1200mm wide to allow quick installation and minimum on-site cutting and waste.

Application

Superglass Cladding Mat 35 is designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation in the walls and roofs of profiled metal clad buildings and portable buildings.

Superglass Multi Acoustic Roll

Superglass Multi Acoustic Roll is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible roll is perforated at 2 x 600mm and 3 x 400mm widths to allow easy installation between common stud/joist spacings and minimum on site cutting and waste. Manufactured at a minimum density of 10 kg/m³.

Superglass Party Wall Roll

Superglass Party Wall Roll is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible roll is cut at 3 x 455mm widths to fit between standard wall ties spacings and to allow easy installation and minimum on-site cutting and waste. Manufactured at a minimum density of 18 kg/m³.

Application

Superglass Party Wall Roll is designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation and help provide a zero u-value within masonry party or separating walls as described within Approved Document L1A (England & Wales, Technical Handbook Section 6 (Scotland) and Technical Booklet G (Northern Ireland).

Superglass Timber Frame Party Wall Roll

Superglass TF Party Wall Roll is a lightweight, non-combustible glass mineral wool insulation roll. The flexible roll is supplied 2 x 675mm wide to allow easy installation and minimum on site cutting and waste. Manufactured at a minimum density of 18 kg/m³.

Application

Superglass TF Party Wall Roll is designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation and to help provide a zero u-value within timber frame party or separating walls as described within Approved Document L1A (England & Wales), Technical Handbook Section 6 (Scotland) and Technical Booklet G (Northern Ireland) respectively.

Superglass Superwall 32 is a British Board of Agrément (BBA) approved, non-combustible and water repellent glass mineral wool insulation cavity wall batt. The flexible batt is supplied at 455mm wide to allow easy installation between standard vertical wall tie spacings and minimum on site cutting and waste.

Application

Superglass Superwall 32 is designed to provide thermal insulation in full or partial fill in new external masonry cavity walls, up to 25 metres in height for full fill and without restriction for partial fill, in new buildings of a domestic and non-domestic nature (additional requirements apply for buildings above 12 metres in height for full fill and above 25 metres in height for partial fill). Superglass Superwall 32 is BBA approved for use in all UK exposure zones.
