Cordek® Clay Heave Protection Company

Cordek® has provided technical solutions for a wide range of construction requirements since formation in 1973. The Cordek® range of ground heave solutions is designed to protect suspended floor slabs, piled ground beams and pile caps from the effects associated with ground heave. In addition to ground heave protection, the product range includes systems which incorporate permanent formwork, insulation and passive ground gas venting options. Both standard and bespoke solutions are available to meet the specific ground heave protection requirements of the foundation design.

Cordek® Cellcore Products Range

Ground heave solution include: Cellcore HX S, HX B, Cellcore HG, Cellcore HX Plus and Cordek Heaveguard.

Cordek® company HX S and HX B products has been specially designed to protect reinforced suspended floor slabs, piled ground beams and pile caps from upward forces. Each grade of product offers different safe and fail loads to allow a specific level of pressure before the boards collapse and create a void around the affected area. On the other hand, HX Plus provides combined ground heave protection and integral insulation in a single product.

A compressible, low density Heaveguard EPS offered by Cordek® protects foundations against lateral heave.

Cordek® Filcor Structural Fill Solution

Soon Cordek® company came up with great non-degradable, structural fill solution called Filcor. This void former replaces traditional heavyweight construction materials. Made from polystyrene, Filcor 20 is commonly used as a lightweight material for forming voids and openings within concrete structures. Because of that, it became the most common product in everyday "groundworks" life. Though its low weight and price is most widely recognized as being the best price-value Cordek® product. Moreover, Filcor 20 price is the lowest compared to the other manufacturers. Wide range of higher Filcor grades can withstand thicker concrete slabs.
