12-50MM PIR RIGID INSULATION BOARDS

12-50mm PIR insulation boards are known as a special type of PolyIsocyanuRate rigid insulation thicknesses group used for strictly defined tasks such as caravan wall insulation, garage doors, shutters, window reveals, boats, swimming pool covers and hard to treat areas, especially where space is at a premium and where critical tolerances have to be achieved. This group of PIR insulation is a revolutionary advancement in thermal technology offering the thinnest insulation available to prevent thermal and cold bridging. Right after Kingspan insulation Optim-R, boards have the highest insulation value of any known material with the lowest thermal conductivity value of any solid rigid insulation (0.022W/mK). In fact, as a response to the rising prices, 12-50mm PIR insulation are coming up with clever solutions to maximize space. The number one reason why clients choose thin 15mm Xtratherm or 12mm Celotex is because of its performance against heat loss through roofs and walls. Being very light and versatile compared to traditional bulky insulation, boards don't create a lot of dust. Moreover, 12mm Celotex or 15mm Xtratherm can be cut with a better, virtually mess-free method, using a sharp knife. This method is clean, quick and simply the best. THINNEST INSULATION BOARDS FOR WALLS

Depending of thickness and brand, 12-50mm rigid insulation boards come in multiple name options, including, Celotex TB4000, Xtratherm Thin-R, Kingspan TP10, Recticel Eurothane GP, Quinntherm, EcoTherm EcoVersal, IKO Enertherm ALU and Ballytherm PIR. However, the most popular thinnest insulation board is 12mm Celetox and 15mm Xtratherm. Moreover, those boards became extremely popular in dry-lining applications. Being the insulation core for Xtratherm XT/TL Thermal Liner and Celotex PL4000, boards became extremely used as a thermal insulated plasterboard. The only products that can beat PIR thin insulation are Spacetherm® and Thermablok® Aerogel with a class-leading thermal conductivity of 0.014W/mK.

8MM SPRAYCORK 

Corksol’s unique cork-based render can be applied to internal walls in two thin coats of just 3mm each. With a final 2mm over skim of plaster, the entire coating is just 8mm thick. It’s made using cork granules, it also provides impressive noise insulation, breathability and moisture-resistance.

13MM SPACETHERM WL

Spacetherm WL consists of 10mm Spacetherm aerogel insulation blanket bonded to 3mm Magnesium Oxide Board (MgO), for use in applications where improved thermal performance is required with limited space. At just 13mm thick, in many cases, there is no need to remove skirting boards and cornices, saving time and cost.

12MM CELOTEX

Celotex invented the thinnest thickness of PIR insulation measuring only 12mm. The 12mm Celotex Board is recognizable as an ultra-thin insulation for walls and excellent high-performance thermal insulation material with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/mK which helps to reduce the thickness of insulation required to hit the target U-values.

15MM XTRATHERM

Xtratherm Thin-R range is a high-efficiency foil faced PIR insulation that provides unrivaled performance for thickness, with a class-leading thermal conductivity of 0.022W/mK. Xtratherm® was one of the few companies who managed to obtain an extremely thin material for insulation, which was certainly not easy due to the need to maintain a 15mm dimension. 12-50MM PIR INSULATION THICKNESSES | APPLICATION

The typical length and width of a thin PIR board is 2400mm by 1200mm. Each sheet is 8' x 4' and covers 2.88m2. PIR insulation boards are available in a range of thicknesses such as 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm and 50mm. The most common PIR thicknesses are 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm.

TIWI SCHEME

Having pledged to be carbon neutral by 2050, the government is exploring a number of ways to reduce our energy use as a nation. Wall insulation is one such method, which improves heat retention for buildings, meaning they need less energy to maintain a comfortable temperature. That’s where the Thin Internal Wall Insulation (TIWI) scheme comes into play. To make internal wall insulation more appealing, and more practical for small spaces, the government is looking to provide grants for innovative companies to develop thin internal wall insulation (TIWI).
