Cordek Filcor Void Former EPS is a lightweight but durable structural fill board used as a void former solution for forming openings and voids within a wide range of concrete structures.
The Filcor panels are a great alternative to more traditional fill materials, available in 2400mm long x 1200mm wide x selected thickness from 25mm thick all the way to 1200mm thick.
The length and width of the Filcor EPS sheets can be calibrated (maximum is a standard board size 2400mm x 1200mm).
Filcor is a versatile and durable material that can be used for a wide range of applications including: hard and soft landscaping, podium slabs, swimming pools, steps, ramps and complex shapes.
Expanded Polystyrene Filcor is increasingly being specified for an ever-growing range of applications, whether it be low loadings such as pedestrians or high loadings such as motor vehicles.
Filcor EPS is simple, cost efficient, water resistant with a very long design life insulation solution for filling voids.
All Filcor grades are manufactured with the use of a polymeric Flame Retardant (FR) additive.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 20 grade is 800mm with nominal density of 15kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 45 grade is 1800mm with nominal density of 20kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 70 grade is 2800mm with nominal density of 25kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 90 grade is 3600mm with nominal density of 30kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 100 grade is 4000mm with nominal density of 35kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 120 grade is 4800mm with nominal density of 40kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 140 grade is 5600mm with nominal density of 45kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 160 grade is 6400mm with nominal density of 50kg per m3.
Maximum depth of concrete (assumed 25k/N/m3) for Filcor EPS 190 grade is 7600mm with nominal density of 55kg per m3.
The cost of manufacturing Cordek Filcor EPS is considered linearly proportional to its density.
Filcor 20 price is the lowest compared to the other Filcor EPS grades: 45, 70, 90, 100, 120, 140, 160, 190.
Filcor is a certified product and complies with both BS EN 13163:2012 and BS EN 14933:2007.
Filcor Void Former is not soluble in water and its closed cell structure prevents the migration of water through the mass of the material.
The product is unaffected by both UV light and water.

We can help to calculate price per m2 or linear meter (one meter in length) cost, please just contact us via phone 02081910776, email or live chat. Alternatively, you can work it out yourself quickly and easily: to get cost per meter square please divide price shown in orange area by ''Required area (m2)'' Example price of £28.80 divided by board coverage 2.88m2 = cost of £10.00 per m2.
INSTALLERS
No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.
4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER
1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio
It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.
2. Reviews
Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.
3. Compare prices
Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.
4. Word of Mouth
The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.
Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
