36mm Soffit Liner is made up of 30mm Rockwool RW5 bonded to 6mm Promat Masterboard to provide effective fire resistance, acoustic and thermal insulation for concrete soffits.

Soffit Liner Boards are manufactured using non-combustible Rockwool RW5 insulation slab faced with 6mm Promat Masterboard (fire and moisture resistant reinforced calcium silicate building board).

This unique combination of two non-combustible fire rated products provides increased impact resistance and durability in addition to improved fire safety and ease to decorate with paints, wallpapers or tiles.

Insulated Soffit Liner Fire Board 36mm x 600mm x 1200mm provides a cost effective solution where a thermal, fire or acoustic performance is required in concrete car park soffits and similar applications.

The Masterboard is resistant to the effects of moisture and will not physically deteriorate when used in damp or humid conditions and will not encourage mould or bacteria growth.

These composite insulation panels are suitable for use as an insulated underlining solution in semi exposed structural soffits such as open-sided car parks.

Soffit Liner is an easy to handle lightweight but strong composite board that can be easily cut to accommodate services and simply butt joined together.

The thermal performance and acoustic insulation provided by the soffit liner board is highly effective.

Lambda value of Rockwool RW5 100kg/m3 insulation slab is 0.034W/mK.

Thermal conductivity of 6mm Promat Masterboard is 0.22W/mK.

Soffit Liner Insulation Board Installation Guide:

 · When commencing installation it is advised to start with a soffit liner board at the centre of the soffit when fixing a tile or modular system.

 · It is important to ensure that all the following boards will be fixed outwards towards each edge.

 · To aid in safeguarding the alignment of the installation, it is advised to use string lines or laser alignment equipment.

 · Each Soffit Liner Board should be fixed using e.g. Ejot DDS fixings with the Ejot DDT70 washer or similar, direct to the concrete soffit.

 · Pre-drill board and concrete to a depth of 5mm more than the anchor length.

 · Insert fixing and hammer or screw tight to line and level.

 · Care should be taken not to damage the surface of the liner boards by over-tightening the fixing.

 · Light fittings and services should be supported from the concrete soffit.

 · Do not use Soffit Liner Boards to support these types of installations.

INSTALLERS

No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.

4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER

1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio

It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.

2. Reviews

Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.

3. Compare prices

Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.

4. Word of Mouth

The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.

Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
