Everything looks beautiful in glossy magazines. Isn't that true? Graphics-rich articles invite consumers to expand their imagination showing us incredibly beautiful house pictures. The purpose of a picture is to create and build an image for the product. Creativity is essential to attract attention and make a lasting impression. The spell is broken when we look at the house closely. Walls tend to be off level, often damaged or scratched, and so is the fibre cement boards of external cladding.

FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION RULES

The perfect workplace does not exist and the occasional bad day at work is normal and unavoidable. Even the most experienced professionals may have a bad day. When installing 3.6m long plank it is easy to scratch and damage boards. When that's the case, a touch-up paint job might be the solution. Here comes Cedral's paint that corrects these errors. When choosing Cedral cladding, try not to save money on final details. Touch up paint is something that you need to put your attention to. If you follow the manufacturer's guidelines, you can be sure of your project's success. You are free to copy and share the text from this blog, as long as you provide proper credit and a link to the original source - https://insulationgo.co.uk/.
Whether you want to renew or replace your cladding boards there are places where edges come visible. These are the places that cannot be distinguished by the color. They need to be retouched in the surrounding color .

CEDRAL® IS HERE TO HELP

Company has been enjoying great popularity for many years. They are very useful when it comes to installing their products. They are providing us with the appropriate technical information at all time. Cedral database offers a whole list of Pdf's and detailed assembly instructions.
The company is very sensitive to the "final touch". What is it? This is nothing but the last touch, a magic move. It is something what we call "Wow factor".

WHAT IS CEDRAL® TOUCH UP PAINT?

It is this "magic wand" that makes the whole project look good. There is no sign of damage, no sign of unmatching colors. Not to mention the aesthetic finish of the cut planks. This paint protects our boards in an appropriate way, so we can be sure that our facade will serve us for many years to come. As Cedral assures, it will be 50 years!

CEDRAL® COLORS TO MATCH

The company provides us with a set of color matched touch up paints. We can be 100% sure that our touch up will reproduce the color we want. It is not recommended to use other familiar external paints. It may turn out that after 4 years this paint changes the color of the coil. Why? It was simply not suitable for use on fiber cement boards.

HOW TO APPLY CEDRAL® TOUCH UP PAINT?

Touch up paint is supplied in small 500ml cans. Thoroughly mix the can of paint to properly blend all the pigments and binders. Never thin the paint.

Mixing method

Load your brush with just enough paint to cover the touch-up area. Start in the middle of the touch-up spot and work your way out to the edges.
Apply the paint as evenly as possible. Use light layers to evenly coat the scratch. Before you begin painting, the board needs to be free of dirt and other blemishes that can prevent the paint from adhering to the plank.
You will have to find a matching paint with the same color and sheen. You can find a matching paint with us.

Tip

Do not paint too far past the scratch you’re touching up. Test a small area for color matching before proceeding.

ARE CEDRAL® BOARDS COLOURED THROU?

No, they're not coloured throu. As you would expect from fibre cement boards Cedral panels are made of cement, cellulose, sand, synthetic fibres although any additional paint pigment could only weaken its structure.

USE ONLY CEDRAL® TOUCH UP PAINT

Several paint suppliers may offer you spectrometer analysis to determine the color and sheen of your board. That is something that you don't want to go for. Not to mention that to use this service, you need to bring in a sample of the board you want to match.

WHAT CEDRAL® PAINT BASE IS IT?

The Cedral touch up paint is an acrylic base paint.

WHEN CAN CEDRAL® PAINT NOT BE USED?

The manufacturer does not recommend using this paint for large-area applications. For instance, we can not use it in situations where we want to repaint either external or internal corners in a different color. It is not a good idea. Especially if we would have to disassemble the entire wall later. It's simply not worth it, for the sake of £35 pounds.

WHAT COLOR CEDRAL® TOUCH UP PAINT COMES WITH?

The Cedral Touch Up paint is available in all 21 standard painted finishes and also the 2 wood stain finishes.

DO I NEED JUST ONE TIN FOR THE WHOLE PROJECT?

In 95% cases yes, however if you are not careful during installation you may need to buy a second tin.
