K-Rend HP12 Base Coat is a cost effective enhanced performance high polymer base-coat reinforcing render designed for difficult substrates within External Wall Insulation systems.
It's ideal solution as a stipple coat or for dense backgrounds and has increased water resistance with great flexibility, strength and adhesion.
Should be used with Reinforcing Rendering Mesh (alkali resistant) for base coat reinforcing layer.
HP12 K-rend can also be used as an insulation bedding adhesive as part of a fixing system (appropriate fixings needed) for polystyrene boards onto masonry substrates.
Scratch coats require only the addition of water and 5 min of mixing time.
Normally applied to a flat finish and scratched lightly to provide a key for the next coat.
K-rend HP12 Base Coat Render is sold in 25kg bags, approx. coverage: 1.8kg of HP12 for 1mm thickness per one m2.

Handling and storage:
Avoid generation of dust and keep dust levels to a minimum.
Carrying bags can cause personal injury, ensure operation is conducted in accordance with current manual handling legislation.
Store in a dry environment where possible and minimise contact with moisture.
Packed materials should be stored in unopened bags, pallets should remain wrapped and stored in a stable manner in an appropriate storage area.
HP12 K-rend has a maximum recommended shelf life of one year from manufacture date under ideal conditions.
Expired products should be disposed of according to local legislation.
Keep out of reach of children.
