Ceresit CT17 PRIMER is a high-performance deep penetrating, fast drying priming paint designed for walls or ceilings inside and outside buildings prior to fixing insulation boards, ceramic tiles, papering or painting.
Application of Ceresit CT17 Profi is highly recommended for gypsum, anhydrite, aerated concrete substrates, chipboards and non-impregnated plasterboards.
The product use results in a slightly yellowish colour of the substrate, which helps control work phases.
For substrate priming under thin-layer plasters, apply the Ceresit CT16 priming paint.
Formulation for surface strengthening of all absorbent substrates.
Use of the Ceresit CT17 Profi primer speeds up the work.
The primer is solvent-free.
· For all absorbent substrates
· Strengthens the substrate surface
· Reduces substrate absorbency
· Improves adhesion to the substrate
· Yellow colour - allows to control work phases
· Vapour permeable
· Application of tiles on cement and cement-lime substrates - after only 15 minutes
· Facilitates application of subsequent layers of, e.g., adhesives, fillers, putties, floors
Ceresit CT17 Profi is designed for priming substrates (walls, floors, ceilings) inside and outside buildings prior to fixing ceramic tiles,
pouring floors, fixing floor lining, papering, puttying, painting, or fixing thermal insulation boards.
Substrates primed with Ceresit CT17 Profi (all kinds of plaster, concrete, screeds, primers with underfloor heating installations)
are of lower absorbency, which prevents too rapid over drying of adhesive mortars, flooring, putties and paints.
The formulation penetrates the substrate and binds the aggregate grains, thus strengthening the substrate surface.
When fixing tiles to a cement or cementlime substrate, after only 15 minutes from the primer application,
it is possible to move to the next stage of work – gluing the tiles using Ceresit CM adhesives.
If Ceresit CT 17 Profi is applied on other types of substrates or under other top coats, wait until the primer dries completely prior to starting subsequent works.
The priming paint should be applied in the ambient temperature and that of the substrate from +5 °C to +25 °C and the humidity below 80 %.
In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water and the general practitioner should be consulted.

No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.
4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER
1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio
It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.
Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.
3. Compare prices
Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.
4. Word of Mouth
The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.
Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
