Ceresit CT49 Nano-Silicone Silix is a highly hydrophobic, vapour permeable premium paint for indoor and outdoor applications.
This paint is highly resistant to UV and weather conditions.
Ceresit Nano-Silicone paint extends the aesthetic effect and durability of coated surface.
CT49 Paint is especially recommended for protecting of coated areas against weathering (e.g. sour rain), biological corrosion and in cases where high durability and dirt-resistance as well as elasticity and abrasion resistance of the surface is required.
It can be applied on the mineral substrates (concrete, cement plasters, lime–cement and lime plasters, gypsum, etc.).
Applied on traditional substrates and Insulated Render Systems with the application of EPS boards (Expanded Polystyrene panels) or mineral wool slabs.
It is highly recommended to use CT49 in historical objects, on the renovation and aerated plasters as well as on all the surfaces where aesthetic qualities and duration of the coating is required.
Due to crack-bridging abilities of CT49, the coat is highly recommended for painting on mineral plasters, during application of EWI (External Wall Insulation Systems) and during the renovation of aged insulation systems.
CT49 paint has high vapour permeability with very low water absorption and high dirt resistance (Double Dry Technology).
Ceresit CT49 has thixotropic properties and due to this does not drip, trickle down or cause stains when applied in a thick layer.
The facades covered with the paint CT49 can be washed with washing devices operating under low pressure.
The paint has protection from biological contamination, such as fungi, mould or algae, increasing its resistance to their effects (Bio Protect formula).
Key Points:
· Tixotropic
· Self cleaning
· Dirt resistant
· Crack-bridging
· High elasticity
· Perfect for façade renovation
· Highly durable thanks to formula Silix XD
· Very low water absorption and high vapour permeability
· Highly resistant to UV and weather conditions
· Bio Protect formula – highly resistant to fungi, algae, etc
· Available in full palette of Ceresit Colours of Nature and RAL Colors
Specification:
Ceresit CT 49 Silix XD nano-silicone Premium paint is equipped with selected modified silicone and polysiloxane resins together with special fillers and pigments.
Due to micro-roughened, very hydrophobic surface obtained by the use of special fillers in combination with polysiloxanes “pearl” effect appears – absorption of water and dirt is strongly limited.
Nevertheless the coat is highly permeable to water vapour.
This paint can be used for painting the following Ceresit plasters: mineral CT34, CT35 and CT137, acrylic CT60, CT63 and CT64, silicate CT72 and CT73, silicone CT74 and CT75, silicate-silicone CT174 and CT175 as well as elastomeric CT79.
The exposure of the facade to the sun causes dangerous tensions; therefore dark colours should be used only on small areas, e.g. architectural details.
Important:
· Application should be performed in dry conditions with the ambient and substrate temperature ranging from +5 °C to +25 °C and the humidity below 80 %.
· The paint may cause decolouration impossible to be removed on glass, ceramic, wooden, metal and stone surfaces; therefore all the elements in contact with CT49 should be protected.
· Skin and eyes should be protected.
· Protective gloves and glasses should be worn while applying the paint.
· Stains should be carefully rinsed with water.
· In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water and the general practitioner should be consulted.

INSTALLERS
No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.
4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER
1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio
It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.
2. Reviews
Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.
3. Compare prices
Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.
4. Word of Mouth
The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.
Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
