Ceresit CT16 is a high-quality Priming Paint designed to add powerful adhesion between insulated render system layers.

Thanks to its rough structure CT16 primer strengthening the whole system and prevent stains formation on the final thin coat render.

CT16 paint can be applied to the surfaces of chipboards, gypsum cardboards, gypsum plasters, all types of concrete and strong paint coats.

Ceresit CT16 facilitates the application of thin-layer plasters and renderings inside and outside the buildings.

Priming the substrate with CT16 considerably decreases it's absorption, which prevents from too fast drying of the applied products.

There is recommended to apply one even layer CT16 using roller or brush Drying time is approx. 3 hours.

This product has strong coating properties and makes the substrate efficiently homogenous, thus preventing from any formation of stains on the coloured (CT60) acrylic, (CT34, CT137) mineral, (CT174) silicate-silicone, (CT74) silicone plasters.

Application:

 · The content of the packing should be stirred.

 · Neither rusty containers nor tools should be used.

 · Tools and fresh stains should be washed with water.

 · Do not dilute the paint!

Key Points:

 · Ready to use

 · High opacity

 · Waterproof

 · Easier application of plasters

 · Higher adhesion to the substrate

 · Vapour permeable

 · Apply with a roller or brush

Scope of Use:

It is recommended for priming the reinforced layers within Ceresit Ceretherm ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems) and traditional plasters.

The fine aggregates included in CT16 make the primed surfaces rough and scratch resistant.

As the surface is expanded, it increases the adhesion of the plasters, putties and paints.

The priming paint should be applied in the ambient temperature and that of the substrate from +5 °C to +25 °C and the humidity below 80 %.

In case of contact with eyes, they should be rinsed with water and the general practitioner should be consulted.

INSTALLERS

No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.

4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER

1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio

It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.

2. Reviews

Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.

3. Compare prices

Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.

4. Word of Mouth

The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.

Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
