Acrylic Render EWI-010 1.5mm grain 25kg is an aesthetically-pleasing long-lasting acrylic thin-coat render used as a protective decorative finish to an External Wall Insulation (EWI) system that can be applied by hand or mechanically sprayed.

EWI Pro EWI-010 Acrylic Render is a polymer-modified flexible and highly resistant to mechanical impact thin coat top coat plaster which provides a protective barrier on your external walls.

This product is also great at holding vibrant colours and can be mixed into almost any shade (please call to enquire further about colour mixing for Acrylic Render).

EWI-010 Acrylic Render is suitable for interior and exterior applications, an ideal solution for external rendering works and once it has set firm, has excellent water and frost resistance.

Acrylic Render should be installed on top of the reinforced basecoat layer to ensure the system is durable and will withstand cracking during any movements within the underlying substrate.

EWI-010 EWI Pro's Acrylic Render can be used as a stand-alone ‘render only’ finish or in the EWI Pro EPS External Wall Insulation System.

Acrylic Render is a decorative thin-coat render, available in 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm grain size and more than 380 colours.

Most popular Acrylic Render colours are: Pure White, Linen, Orchid, Ivory, Mist, Porcelain, Copenhagen, Antique White, Eggshell, Platinum, Elderflower, Fog, Ice, Clay, Haze, Frost, Cloud, Silver, Bone, Sandstone, Parrifin, Magnolia, Prosecco, Opal, Almond, Silk, Sage, Mirror, Concrete, Storm, Diamond, Smoke, Truffle, Ash, Lead and Acorn.

EWI Pro Acrylic Render EWI-010 Application:

 · Apply the render using a stainless-steel trowel to the substrate surface.

 · The optimal thickness of the render is equal to the grain size and is achieved by removing any excess product from the substrate.

 · To ensure an even textured finish, immediately rub up the surface of the render using circular motions with a plastic render float.

 · All pigments are added using a highly calibrated mixing machine, however minor discrepancies may occur between batches.

 · As a result, for each elevation / insulated render system, we recommend using a large primary container which can hold multiple buckets of coloured render.

 · This should be continually topped up and remixed using a paddle mix throughout render application.

 · Works must be protected from rain, snow, strong winds and direct sunlight.

 · The average drying time for Acrylic render is 12-48 hours depending on weather conditions.

 · The drying period may be significantly longer in low temperatures and high relative humidity.

Substrate Preparation for Acrylic EWI-010 Render:

 · Before applying the render, the basecoat layer needs to be primed using EWI-330 Mineral / Acrylic Primer.

 · This can be applied to the substrate using a brush, a roller or a spray machine.

EWI-010 Certification and Standards:

 · PN-C-81913:1998 Dispersion paints for façade painting.

 · European Technical Approvals ETA – 15/0576 and ETA – 15/0575.

 · BBA Approval Inspection Testing Certificate 18/5503.

No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.

1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio

It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.

2. Reviews

Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.

3. Compare prices

Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.

4. Word of Mouth

The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.

Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
