3mm Isocheck Re-Mat 3 is an acoustic resilient mat designed to reduce impact sound transmission through concrete floor decks and all types of floor finishes.
Isocheck Re-Mat 3 (1m x 15m) consists of a 3mm layer of matting constructed from waste rubber and cork mixed with a polymer binder to form a resilient mat.
Re-Mat 3 is suitable for all types of floor finishes including ceramic tiles, stone, marble, vinyl, carpet and solid or laminate wood.
Laboratory performance achieved for Re-Mat 3 is 17dB ΔLw and 18dB ΔLw when used beneath a tiled floor.
Treated floor can meet with the Robust Detail options A & B within E-FC-8, when used in conjunction with isopoli 5mm under screed layer.
A heated floor system can also be installed beneath Re-Mat 3 acoustic and soundproofing matting.
Also available is Re-Mat 3T and Re-Mat 5T - a 3mm or 5mm layer suitable for a tile finish.
Re-Mat 3 system is a specially designed acoustic floor solution that could complement the requirement for underfloor heating.

3mm Isocheck Re-Mat 3 Resilient Mat Installation Guidelines:
· Ensure Isocheck Re-Mat is stored in a dry, ventilated area.
· The floor surface should be swept free of all wax, oil, grease, grit, loose debris and other objects that could damage the Isocheck Re-Mat systems.
· Fill holes and irregular surfaces with levelling compound.
· Unroll Re-Mat and allow it to rest for 24 hours to allow the material to acclimatise before measuring and cutting.
· Cut using a sharp knife and a straight edge.
· Lift Re-Mat and evenly apply adhesive with a triangular-notched trowel.
· Leave for approximately 20 minutes or until the adhesive is tacky before laying the Isocheck Re-Mat.
· Leave a 2mm minimum gap between the edge of the Re-Mat and the wall or skirting.
· Tightly butt-joint rolls of Re-Mat.
· Smooth out the surface of the Re-Mat with a roller, pressing down firmly to remove any air bubbles and to ensure the Re-Mat is correctly adhered.
· DO NOT mechanically fix Re-Mat.
· Fill the gap beneath the plasterboard and the screed with flexible sealant.
· Fit the timber, ceramic, stone or soft floor finish leaving a 5mm gap between the perimeter and the wall.
· If fitting ceramic or stone tiles use a water-resistant grout and seal gap between the skirting and the tiles.
· If fitting soft coverings such as carpet, the gripper rods can be fixed through the Re-Mat at the perimeter.
· If in doubt in any area, please call Isomass prior to commencement of work.

INSTALLERS
No matter whether you choose a local installer or a national company, there’s a few tips to help you find the right installer for your home insulation improvements, such as asking for recommendations and making sure that they’re part of a certification scheme. This makes sure that they have the right skills and standards of workmanship to carry out the installation, and you can be sure that they know exactly what they are doing.
4 TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE BEST INSULATION INSTALLER
1. Thermal inspection picture in portfolio
It’s worth seeing a installer’s previous work. There’s no harm asking if you can see any properties nearby that they’ve installed insulation in. Best way would be to see Infrared Thermal Imaging Inspections. Thermal cameras spot small, but key changes in temperature in different areas of a house, identifying problematic areas that the human eye never could and some that a visual inspection could only hypothesize.
2. Reviews
Along with checking recommendations and previous work, finding reviews online can often be a great way to find out if they provide a good service or not. However, it’s best not to solely rely on reviews you may find or review websites, as there’s no controlling who writes them.
3. Compare prices
Comparing prices will also ensure companies can’t take advantage of you and give you a fair price.
4. Word of Mouth
The best way to find a great insulation installer is through recommendations. Make sure you ask friends and family. They will most likely give you their honest opinion and can tell you from first hand experience.
Whether you require a wall, cladding, external wall, loft or floor insulation fitted, you can find and hire your local insulation installers from popular UK web pages. A simple internet search will return thousands of potential installers near your area.
